Reviews for Muelle Marino FJ Riverview
Review highlights
Based on 145 reviewsReviews for Muelle Marino FJ Riverview highlight it as a standout destination for authentic Peruvian cuisine in the Riverview area. Patrons frequently praise the quality, flavor, and authenticity of the dishes, noting that the food is made to order with generous portions. The restaurant’s unique Peruvian menu offers a welcome alternative to more common Hispanic fare, appealing to both newcomers and those familiar with the cuisine. Customers also commend the attentive and friendly service, including personal touches from the chef. The inviting location near the Alafia River marina adds to the dining experience, making it a popular choice for locals seeking flavorful, well-prepared Peruvian food without traveling far.
Finally tried Muelle Marino and it was an excellent choice. Everything we ate was delicious, portions were generous, and service was great. We had not stopped in before because we didn't think my 13yo would like it, but he agreed the steak and fries were great. The food was made to order, and even the Lemonade, which came in a carafe for the table, was made after we ordered it. Instead of giving me lemon slices for my water, I received actual lemon juice! Loved that difference. I don't speak Spanish, but my husband does, which helped figure out the menu, and let the waitress understand what we wanted. She did speak English, and there is English in the menu, but knowing Spanish is a plus for sure. Needless to say, we will definitely return to try some other dishes, and I will be telling my friends about this great Peruvian restaurant!
Muelle Marino FJ Restaurant has quickly become the go-to destination for authentic and flavorful Peruvian cuisine for me in the Brandon/Riverview area. Although the restaurant is relatively new, it’s clear the chef is a seasoned pro—every dish reflects experience, passion, and precision. I held off on writing a review after my first visit because, to me, a truly great restaurant proves itself through consistency—flavor, freshness, and service that stay top-notch every time. Now, after my fourth visit, I can confidently say they’ve got it all. And just a heads-up: after 8 PM, the place transforms into a lively spot to unwind, enjoy some great music, and get your Salsa groove on. A perfect blend of great food and vibrant atmosphere!
This is a newer place and it is different if you are looking to break from monotony. They are a different kind of Hispanic food as it is a Peruvian restaurant. They are just north of the Alafia River on 301 and right by the new marina that is on the river. Before you enter the restaurant you get the idea that you are going to experience something different because their windows are decorated with beautiful pictures of Peruvian landscape. Upon entering, you see that it is nicely decorated to set a mood of an exotic experience from Peru. They have flags, and televisions playing videos of beautiful Peruvian landscapes. The music in the background also helps to set the mood with Latin music. We had to ask for help when it comes to certain items on the menu (not most) because we did not recognize certain words of food that different than other Latin food we've had. There were four of us in our party and we ordered steak with different kinds of rice and beans, yuca and some seafood (pictures included). We've been there twice now and we'd go back. The prices were good for the very large portions they serve. No matter where you go, sea food is a little more expensive so we thought that was about what we've seen in other places too. Some things to note... The atmosphere and mood changes very quickly there when the soccer game comes on... They are soccer fans so when the game comes on, the music is turned off and the televisions all go to soccer with volume that is a bit distracting if you aren't into the game and instead want to talk with those at your table. That's cool if you advertise as a pub but they don't... to be honest lots of people around us were totally into the game but a few others, like us, weren't. Still, it wasn't a deal-breaker for us or anyone else that I could tell. I think they are still figuring some things out as a newer establishment but we've found them to be worth visiting a couple of times now.
Is very difficult to find authentic Peruvian restaurants specially in the Riverview area and this place was the answer. Good location, very friendly staff, the chef greets and checks with the customers when time permitted, and food was excellent. Ordered the Causa Atun, it was on point flavors well balanced and the Tacu w saltado meat was tender and good portions between the meat and vegetables. Good authentic Peruvian music Will come again.
Authentic Peruvian food is served in this place. If you are looking for a variety in their menus, quality and tasty dishes, this is the place! We are so lucky to have a Peruvian restaurant near to us. For those whose live in Apollo Beach, Ruskin, Wimauma and Riverview and tried before the delicious Peruvian food, you don’t need to drive an extra mile.
Everything was excellent! The food was fresh and full of flavor, and the ceviche was absolutely delicious. Huge thanks to the owner for personally making it — you can tell it was made with care. Highly recommend Muelle Marino Restaurant, I’ll definitely be coming back!
Muelle Marino FJ is one of the best Peruvian restaurants in Tampa. The leche de tigre was out of this world, super fresh, tangy, and full of flavor. The anticuchos were perfectly grilled and seasoned, honestly the best I have had in Tampa. The staff was friendly, the food came out quickly, and everything tasted like it was made with care. You can tell they take pride in authentic Peruvian food. This place is definitely my new favorite.
We stopped at the newly opened Peruvian restaurant for dinner. The menu is very extensive with several dishes to choose from. We ordered the ceviche for an appetizer, and it was very tasty. We ordered a seafood and a chicken entrees for dinner. Both were excellent. They serve Peruvian beers and sodas. They play traditional Peruvian music. It was a very pleasant experience.
